Zippers are essential for apparel materials , but until now APPM has had a limited number of product numbers and variations , which has caused inconvenience to customers by having to deal with each individual request.

Some customers may have the impression that " it's difficult to order zippers from APPM because it's a hassle " or " there aren't enough zippers listed , so I don't order zippers from APPM ."

To dispel this image , we have not only increased the number and variety of zipper product numbers, but also improved the ordering method with a new system .
We will explain step by step what has changed so that by the time you finish reading , you will feel that ordering zippers is surprisingly easy !

1. What has changed? Four key points of evolution in zipper ordering

Zippers are apparel materials with a huge number of possible combinations due to the high degree of customizability of each part . To accommodate these characteristics , we have evolved four key points to enable flexible ordering of any pattern for zippers.

(1) Tape color can be freely entered , supporting a wide range of colors.

We are a distributor of YKK zippers, and all zippers handled by APPM are products of YKK Corporation . The tape color variations are also very rich , with 582 colors available on the YKK Global Color Card.

With APPM, we have changed the input method so that you can intuitively enter only the colors you need , rather than having to search for one color from a huge selection .
Enter the three-digit color directly into the "Color" section of the product page and add each color to your cart.

* The APPM product page displays a color card image containing 249 colors , but you can also fill in colors that are not listed on the product page .

*Some Conceal® zippers and 25FK zippers are in stock , so they are available in a pull-down menu. In that case, please specify the color not listed in the product notes.

(2) You can now order different sliders

The slider can be selected by combining the material and function of the body , the pull tab , and the surface treatment , so there are a huge number of combination patterns even for the slider alone . Also , there are cases where the default options get in the way , such as when you want to specify a slider plating that is different from the standard .
Therefore, in addition to the sliders listed on APPM , we have added a new "Other" slider that you can select .

As indicated by the "Other *Enter slider in product notes" button in the image , after selecting the "Other" slider on the product page , enter the slider you want in the "Product notes" section on the same page , and add each slider & tape color separately to your cart.

* The "Other" slider will already display a guide price . If you specify a slider specification that exceeds the guide price , our staff will contact you and may adjust the price later. ( Once you agree to the revised price , we will send you an email requesting additional payment for the difference .)

(3) It is now possible to order lengths other than those listed .

①Standard product page

If you would like a length other than the listed length , you can order by selecting "Not listed * Please enter size in product notes" at the bottom of the " Size" drop-down menu on the product page and entering your desired size in the product notes .
*When specifying zipper dimensions, the spacing must be in increments of at least 0.5 cm .

A provisional price is displayed for " unlisted" sizes , so after you place your order, our staff will contact you with the delivery date and regular price . If there are no particular issues , we will send you an email requesting payment for the additional amount. Once you complete the payment procedure using the link in the email, your order will be complete.

For sizes not listed for Conceal® zippers and 25FK zippers, you will need to select the size from the buttons rather than from a drop - down menu . Select the " Other " button and enter your desired size in the product notes .

Bonus: Not only the ordering method, but also the list of product numbers and lengths has been expanded

So far, we have explained the four key evolutionary points regarding zipper ordering, but we have also made significant improvements to the product listings.
The products include Excella® zippers, 45CF coil zippers, and 4EF Eflon® zippers, and we have added DADR4 sliders and reversible sliders based on our business experience . Zipper lengths have been expanded from 10-20cm to 10-90cm for stop zippers, and from 35-65cm to 20-100cm for open and reverse open zippers .

2. Points to note when ordering zippers

・Difference between order types " Manufacturer order " and " Sample processing "

Fasteners require many specifications, such as 1) element size (number) , 2 ) element type , 3 ) element color , 4) product category , 5) slider ( material, function, pull tab, surface treatment ) , and 6) other special specifications , and there are many variations for each item , so they are basically made-to-order products, produced after an order is placed.
APPM offers two order types to suit your needs.

About "Ordering from Manufacturer" ... For customers who prioritize price

Once an order is received from a customer, the manufacturer produces the product from scratch.
Although the price is cheaper than sample processing, delivery takes at least three weeks, and depending on the quantity and product specifications, delivery may take more than a month.
As for the process, after we receive your order, APPM staff will contact you with the manufacturer's production start time and delivery date (along with the official price if it is a provisional price), and you will be asked to reply whether you wish to proceed . ( If we do not receive a reply, we will proceed with production as is. )
* Changes or cancellations cannot be made after the production start time. Also, if you make changes before the production start time, the order will have to be re-ordered, which may result in a delay from the originally scheduled delivery date. Thank you for your understanding.

Regarding "sample processing" ... for customers who prioritize delivery time

Our distributors have narrowed down the product specifications and tape colors that are frequently ordered and stock them in a semi-finished state. After receiving an order, we pack and process long items and zippers of different categories by hand , so the delivery time is short, but the variation in tape colors and specifications is limited, and the price is set higher.
Please note that there may be slight differences from the manufacturer 's specifications , such as the coil and top stop of the Vislon zipper being made of metal .
* If the desired tape color is out of stock , we will suggest an alternative color . When requesting sample processing , please indicate your second or third choice of "alternative color" from standard colors such as white, black, or 500 series in the product notes to ensure a smooth process.
(For some products, images are posted with stars next to the corresponding colors for reference.)

・Sample processing is limited to 10 pieces

Since each piece is processed by hand, we limit the number of pieces to 10 per type, which is intended for use as samples .

・Knowing things to note when selecting sliders

A slider basically consists of a body and a pull tab, and when ordering , you must specify the material code , function code , pull tab code , and surface treatment code . Of the specified items , we receive the most questions about the function code and surface treatment code, so we will explain some of them here .
