At APPM, we are committed to creating products that can provide not only selected products but also products developed based on customer requests, and that meet the needs of the time, at reasonable prices.
This time, we will introduce "BAD633/637" from among our highly unique original products.
BAD633 / 637 Mortar Hook

A new design registered with the Patent Office! Also known as the "Suribachi Hook"
The dot button is made up of four parts (cap, spring, handle, and tip), but what's unique about this product is that the handle is shaped like a mortar.
This is a product developed by our company, for which a design patent application and utility model patent were registered with the Japan Patent Office in 2018.
Eliminates the problem of "sinking" that occurs with conventional products
With previous models, when hammering dot buttons into thick or brushed fabrics, the male part of the button would sink into the fabric, making it difficult to fasten and remove. This product has a plate around the button to prevent it from sinking into the fabric. Also, by making the convex part of the button "cone-shaped," it reduces scratches and dents caused by other parts interfering with each other when hammering, making it easier to fasten and remove.

Minimalist design that becomes a focal point when putting on and taking off
It's not just functional. The "mortar" shape makes it less affected by the cap's feet, allowing it to be thinner. The difference is clear when viewed from the side, with the female side's spring being thinner, resulting in a thinner, more minimalist overall finish. Also, the "mortar" design that can be seen when fastening and unfastening the button is a unique feature that sets it apart from other dot buttons.
Two different product numbers are used depending on the size
The shape is the same, but you can use two different product numbers depending on the size.
If you prefer a smaller size, we recommend "BAD633", and if you prefer a larger size, we recommend "BAD637".
For the 13mm, the cap size is the same for both product numbers, but the size of the handle varies depending on the product number. Please choose the size you prefer.

We actually tried out the fit and feel of the two items!
Both snapped on and off easily with a click, but the larger size seemed to stay in place more securely.
Products made with "BAD633 Mortar Hook"

This is made by stitching two stitches into the linen placket.
(Product number used: BAD633, size 10mm C/#N)

This is used on the pocket flap.
(Product number used: BAD633, size 10mm C/#BN)

Because the parts are slim, the fabric fits snugly together with no gaps, enhancing the minimalist finish even when viewed from angles other than the front.

To use this product, a special attachment (hitting top) is required.
By using the special attachment, you can drive the parts firmly into the fabric, allowing you to maximize the effectiveness of the parts, such as ensuring stable attachment and removal.
