Differences in order types

Please select your order type before selecting product specifications.
The YKK zippers that APPM handles are made to order, so we offer two custom-made types to suit your needs.

About "Manufacturer Orders"

This is an ordering method for customers who prioritize price.
Once an order is received from a customer, the manufacturer produces the product from scratch.
Although the price is cheaper than sample processing, delivery takes at least three weeks, and depending on the quantity and product specifications, delivery may take more than a month.
After receiving your order, APPM will contact you to let you know the manufacturer's production start time and delivery date (along with the final price if it is a provisional price for an unlisted size, etc.), and then please reply to let us know whether you would like to proceed.
Changes or cancellations cannot be made after the production start time. If there is no reply, production will proceed as is. If changes are made before the production start time, the order will be re-ordered, which may result in a delay from the originally scheduled delivery date. We appreciate your understanding.
In addition, please make any requests for shorter delivery times before production begins.

About "sample processing"

This is an ordering method for customers who prioritize delivery time. (Up to 10 units)
Our distributors have narrowed down the specifications and tape colors that are frequently used and stock them in semi-finished form.
Because we process long items and zippers of different categories, delivery times are short, but the variety of tape colors and specifications is limited, resulting in higher prices.
Please note that there may be slight differences from the manufacturer's specifications, such as the coil and top stop of the Vislon zipper being made of metal.
Since each zipper is processed by hand, we generally only accept samples of up to 10 zippers per type, but in the unlikely event that the manufacturer's production deadline cannot be met, we may be able to process samples depending on the specifications. Please contact us if you have any questions.
*If the tape color is out of stock, we will suggest an alternative color, so please write your second or third choice from standard colors such as the 500 series in the product notes to make the process smoother.

Points to note when selecting sliders

Lock function

There are three main types: automatic lock, semi-automatic lock, and non-lock, so please choose the one that best suits the stitching area.

① Automatic lock...
The lock engages when you release the handle, and the lock disengages when you pull it, so the handle won't slide down on its own. Ideal for plackets and vertically oriented items.

②Semi-automatic lock...
This type unlocks when the pull tab is raised and locks when the pull tab is lowered. Ideal for the front opening of pants, etc.

③Non-locking...
This type of zipper can be opened and closed without pulling the pull tab. Suitable for bag openings and side pockets.

*Please note that sliders with "F" as the second letter of the code are non-locking types.

About the slider color

For metal fasteners
If no preference is given, the element will be plated in the same color as the teeth.

For Coil Vislon Fasteners <br>If no specification is given, all fasteners other than CA will be painted the same color as the element (teeth).
CA cannot be painted, so please specify the plating color (C5: Silver, H3: Antique Silver, O: Gold, I: Antique Gold) in the product notes.
